years (June 2004) and 221,180 miles (No. 4 was out for a few months while I accumulated replacement parts). Got 261K miles on it now with the "old style" replacement OEM injectors still working fine. I think the issue of power always being applied to the injectors on the 94 and earlier models is over-blown. Most of the appliances/electronic devices we use do have + voltage applied to a switch inside the devices (power is not switched at the outlet).I don't believe that the very minimal amount of leakage current going through the semiconductor switches (transistors) in the ECU amount to enough current flow to degrade the injectors. The copper wire for the windings in the injectors, seeing micro or nano amps from leakage current, will not amount to any significant degradation of the injectors...IMO.
